What did I say about the rain turning this final into a kicking game?

If you're Joe Burgess, the last thing you want is to be forced into collecting a kick with the rain in your eyes and the surface all slick.

As it happens it's Warrington who've taken their chance. And Marc Sneyd's kick has given them even more of a cushion.

Finals like this are about margins. And luck. And both have gone Warrington's way thanks to the final five minutes of that half.

Sometimes you need a bit of luck and Warrington got a bit of luck there.

We saw it in the semi-final when Warrington rushed Marc Sneyd back and he had an excellent game. His kicking was crucial and we've seen a couple of examples.

And Marc Sneyd's brilliant conversion from the touchline is the last action of a gripping 40 minutes of rugby league.

That Josh Thewlis try separates the two teams at the break, but this feels like anyone's game.

And now George Williams' half-back partner Marc Sneyd shows his hand with an aerial spiral.

Joe Burgess has ages to watch it spin and swirl and make a dog's dinner out of it.

Great position for the Wolves now.

That is a big play from England captain George Williams.

Jez Litten tries a grubber kick on the last play and when the ball ricochets free off a boot, Williams dives on it first ahead of Litten.

Williams just knew how important that was for his team with them close to their own line.

That would have been special if the replacement could have taken that one.

Tanginoa really makes an impact when he comes off the bench.

Warrington steal the ball from Sauaso Sue with a massive defensive hit.

But the Wolves can't take advantage and Marc Sneyd's grubber kick on the last goes dead.

I think Hull KR will be the happier of the two teams because they will see it as Warrington have shown plenty of their hand so far and ultimately it's only them with points on the board.

Warrington lose the ball through a Matt Dufty handling error in midfield.

Hull KR advance and Mikey Lewis is hit by an illegal high shot from Ben Currie.

Lewis steps up off the tee and takes the two points on offer with his left boot.

What is noticeable is how many kicks Matt Dufty and Josh Thewlis for Warrington and Jack Broadbent for Hull KR have had to take in the first 20 minutes.

But not a single handling error from any of them so far.
