One long gets Kuhn in behind, but he's got to do better.

That's pretty tame, he didn't believe in himself.

A rare chance for Celtic to attack as Nicolas Kuhn scoots forward from a fortunate bounce but his final shot is feeble, poked straight at the keeper.

Celtic are sitting much deeper but they can't get hold of the ball.

They will feel embarrassed and ashamed. Come out and try to salvage a bit of pride.

You can't come out and continue doing the same things, expecting different results.

On the ball, not good enough. They've allowed Dortmund total control in the game.

Karim Adeyemi - Celtic's tormentor in chief - is looking rather cheesed off as he slumps to the turf with an injury.

He can't go on and the visiting defence will breathe a sigh of relief.

Have Dortmund been targeting a particular area of Celtic's team?

Hmm, not really. This attacking thirds map shows the German side are a threat on the left, right and centrally.

They were superb in that first half.

The Celtic fans off to our right, who were so full of noise and ion before the game, are standing in stunned silence.

They have watched their team being taken apart by a Borussia Dortmund who have been utterly relentless.

The Celtic players are unable to catch a breath out there. They're 5-1 down and that's with Dortmund squandering further chances and Kasper Schmeichel making some good saves.

Celtic need to find a way to stem the tide or this could get even uglier.

    A spectacular shellacking.

Brendan Rodgers has form for this; 7-0 Barcelona, 5-0 PSG, 6-0 Atletico Madrid. He said he was going to make his team hard to break down, he has not done any of that.

Celtic have been spooked. Dortmund have been ruthless. Rodgers does not seem to have tried to do anything about it.

Dortmund's pace is destroying Celtic. They've made their own errors, but they are forced by knowing what Dortmund can do when they make an error. They are fretful and worried.

It could be more. It could have been six or seven.

Karim Adeyemi is the first Dortmund player to score a first-half hat-trick in Europe since 2002.

The forward is also just the second German player to score a first-half treble in a Champions League game.

So Dortmund have scored five goals from an xG of just 2.12.

About 1.6 of that comes from the two penalties.

Usually, those kind of figures point to suspect goalkeeping or the goals being absolute belters. Perhaps a mix of both?

I'm shocked. And going by the pictures, Brendan Rodgers is also in shock. He has not been able to stop the flow of this game. That's his job. There is a litany of mistakes, resulting in goals.

We said before the game, they had confidence and belief. But as the goals have gone in they have struggled with that pressure.

My analysis is simple, Dortmund have exploited the space on the side of Callum McGregor. Adeyemi has destroyed Celtic in those spaces.
