An 87-year-old man died after suffering a head injury

A man will go on trial accused of murder after a man in his eighties died following an alleged altercation.

Jason Waite, 54, of Church Lane in Gainsborough, was originally charged with grievous bodily harm following the incident in Snitterby on Tuesday 17 December 2024, which saw an 87-year-old man taken to hospital with a head injury.

However, the charge was upgraded to murder after the man died two days later.

The trial will take place at Lincoln Crown Court on 29 September.
